| My service
comes to you with 24 years Porsche experience including
some of the best Porche cars in the world..
I started at Parker
& Parker Ltd in Kendal, Cumbria in 1969, repairing
all air cooled VW Vehicles and also Porsche cars (mainly
356) with Colin Parker as the time went on I experienced
more different models of Porsche cars, of which I have
always had a passion for, since starting work. and at
this time my brother had been working as an apprentice
on the VW side of the garage & Colin went to do
more office work, my brother and I sorted the mechanical
side of things.
in 1982 I left Parkers and went
to Autofarm in Amersham, "The Porsche Specialist",
servicing and repair of all types of Porsches, also
they do engine and gearbox repair work and modification
work to all Porsche cars for road and racing , of which
I was involved, including looking after Tony Bancroft's
911 3.2 turbo hill climb car and the car of the late
John Piper, a 930 group b car.
In 1988 I moved to Dage Sport
(now G Force) the Porsche specialists at Aylesbury where
I got to work on both the 935 race cars and I was involved
in building two race cars of similar specifications,
along with service and repair work to all Porsche models.
In 1989 I then moved to Chariots
Porsche at St Albans, working on all the then new models
and attending training courses, I was moved to Chariots
at Kidlington as workshop supervisor.
In 1990 I was offered a job at
Francis Tuthills the VW & Porsche specialists, where
I got the Porsche side of the workshop up and running
for the building of the 911 historic rally cars, &
on off cars like the London to Sydney car in 1994. Also
the service and repair of all Porsche cars was also
undertaken.
In early 1992 I joined my brother
now up and running with a workshop in Wimslow, Bucks,
to work on race cars, fabrication and modification work.
The cars prepared in the workshop included a custom
935K3, a 2.8 RsR, a 3.6 single turbo race car, a 930
turbo modified road car.An amazing selection of cars
came through the workshop door, along with a selection
of Porsche cars for services and repair work.
In late 1993 Our family moved back to the Lake District
and I started work at the local BMW garage and then
at the Audi Garage for a short time until the end of
2004 when I left to start up Mike Bainbridge Engineering
to service and repair, what I enjoy... Porsche cars.
